Psalm 128

BlessingsWhat blessings fill the lives of all who fear the Lord
By walking in His ways, great joy is your reward.
The work you do will prosper
And your wife a fruitful vine
Like olive trees in blossom
‘Round your table kids recline
Oh, what blessings come to everyone who fears His name
Countless treasures and rewards are theirs to claim.

The Lord bless you out of Zion
May you prosper all your days
May you see your children’s children
As you walk in all His ways
May shalom be on God’s people
As they fix on Him their gaze.

Psalm 119 – י Yodh

potterYour hands shaped and fashioned me
help my heart learn from Your decrees.

Ye ones who fear the Lord rejoice
because I’ve made His word my choice.

Yes, Lord, Your laws are just and right
Your discipline keeps me contrite.

You promised cov’nant loyalty
now may Your word my comfort be.

Your law, O Lord, is my delight
in mercy, come, that live I might.

Yê·ḇō·šū, shame on those who slander
but on Your precepts I will ponder.

Yet may all those who fear You see
that in Your statutes we agree.

Yielded and pure my heart would be
that from all shame I might be free.

Psalm 112

BlessedPraise ye the Lord, Hallelujah,
All who fear the Lord are blest
In His ways they find true pleasure
Untold riches do possess.

Their descendants sure to prosper
Heirs who walk in righteousness
Wealth and riches, light in darkness
Everything they do is blessed.

They are gracious, kind, and upright
Quick to lend a helping hand
Fair and just in all their dealings
Long respected in the land.

Never fearing evil tidings
Trusting in the Lord always
Confident they face their battles
Victors stand through hard-fought frays.

Never selfish, always giving,
Sharing goods with those in need
Well-respected, loved, and honored
Endless praise for righteous deeds.

But the wicked writhe with envy
Gnash their teeth and waste away
Their desires come to nothing
All their dreams in dust decay.
